A stronger brand for the organics recycling experts

Microbiologist and entrepreneur Dr Thomas Aspray founded Solidsense in 2018 to provide specialist consultancy and applied research to organics recycling industries.

With his consultancy and research services established, Tom identified an opportunity to develop and launch specialist products alongside his service portfolio. Whilst his success to date had rested largely on his well-established personal brand and reputation - Tom is an Honorary Associate Professor at Herriot Watt University, a Chartered Scientist and a widely-published expert in his field - he now recognised the need to focus on developing the brand equity and reach of his business, Solidsense, to create the firmest possible platform for growth.

Following an in-depth examination of the current situation and future vision for Solidsense, we profiled the needs and motivations of Tom’s current and future target customers, as well as the brand presentation of his current and future competitors. Based on these insights, we developed a brand messaging approach designed to highlight the unique strengths and attributes of Solidsense. We translated this into actionable digital marketing recommendations in the form of a Channel and Content strategy that will help Tom raise awareness of his product and service offer amongst his target stakeholder and client groups.
